Kendal, July 21, 2026 – Following the commencement of construction marked by a groundbreaking ceremony in February 2025, PT Foodindo Dwivestamas has officially begun operations at its new production facility in the Kendal Special Economic Zone (SEZ). The plant’s operation signifies the realization of the company’s investment and strengthens Foodindo’s production capacity to meet both domestic and export market demand.
With an investment of IDR 190 billion, this new Foodindo production facility employs approximately 150 workers, operates around the clock, and boasts a production capacity of up to 1,000 tons per year. The plant is expected to boost production capacity while expanding the company’s export reach to various countries, including Saudi Arabia and Dubai.

Established in 2007 in Cikarang, West Java, PT Foodindo Dwivestamas is a manufacturer of sauces, condiments, and seasonings that has served various national and international food brands. Through its MYTASTE brand, the company offers a diverse range of products—spanning traditional chili sauces, Asian and Western sauces, and various marinades—all produced in accordance with international food safety standards. Foodindo’s products are also marketed through various modern retail chains in Indonesia, such as Hypermart, Ranch Market, Papaya, Grand Lucky, Hero Supermarket, Lotte Mart, AEON, and Farmers Market.
Lucky Rumengan, Director of PT Foodindo Dwivestamas, stated that the commencement of operations at the Kendal Special Economic Zone (SEZ) production facility represents a strategic move to strengthen the company’s competitiveness and support future business growth. “The inauguration of this production facility marks a new chapter for Foodindo. Juliani Kusumaningrum, Executive Director of PT Kawasan Industri Kendal, stated that the commencement of operations by PT Foodindo Dwivestamas demonstrates the maturing of investment realization within the Kendal Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and strengthens the development of the food and beverage industrial sector in the area. “The start of operations by PT Foodindo Dwivestamas shows that investment in the Kendal SEZ is progressing from the construction phase to actual production. We observe excellent growth in the food and beverage sector in Central Java, and we are certainly delighted to welcome the opening of the Foodindo factory within the Kendal SEZ. The food and beverage industry is a strategic sector undergoing continuous development within the Kendal Special Economic Zone (SEK). With the growing number of companies operating in this sector, the zone aims to establish an interconnected food industry cluster—spanning raw material processing, the production of spices and seasonings, and packaging, through to distribution. Strengthening this ecosystem is expected to drive efficiency, foster collaboration among manufacturing companies, and enhance the competitiveness of Indonesian food products in the global market.
