Safety Synergy: Growing Stronger, Working Safer Together

February 12, 2026

Kendal, 12 Februari 2026 – To celebrate National Occupational Safety and Health Month, which runs from 12 January to 12 February 2026, the Kendal Special Economic Zone (SEZ) is holding a series of activities aimed at strengthening safety standards and raising awareness of the importance of occupational safety. As well as complying with regulations, the activities will foster a positive and sustainable culture of occupational safety and health throughout the industrial zone.

This included some of activities, such as blood donations and emergency response simulations (fire drills), as well as agility competitions (fire and rescue mini challenges) and in-depth education through occupational safety seminars.

One of the main events in the highlight was the Fire & Rescue Mini Challenge. In this competition, emergency response teams from a number of busines entities and contractors were tested on their agility in extinguishing fires using hydrants, techniques for rolling up fire hoses with precision, and procedures for evacuating victims in emergency situations.

“The main objective of this activity is not just to find a winner, but to ensure that every company in Kendal SEZ has a team that is mentally and technically prepared to face real-life emergencies,” said Kendal SEZ management.

Through this National K3 Month celebration, Kendal SEZ reaffirms its commitment to not only being a center for economic growth and investment, but also a model for a safe, comfortable, and internationally-standard industrial area. By continuing to raise worker awareness, Kendal SEZ is optimistic that its Zero Accident target can be consistently achieved.
