Strengthening the EV Ecosystem, Safemate Inaugurates Electric Vehicle Component Production Facility in Kendal SEZ

PT Safemate Electric Connection Indonesia has officially launched its newest production facility located in the Kendal Special Economic Zone (SEZ), Central Java. This inauguration marks a new chapter in the domestic automotive component industry, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) support sector. Its holding company, Safemate Technology, has been established since 1999 and has over 25 years of experience in the automotive battery peripheral products industry.


The factory, with an investment value of USD 15.6 million, will be used to produce supporting components such as booster cables and battery chargers. To date, Safemate products have been exported to 50 countries worldwide, and the company has partnered with renowned global marketplaces such as Amazon, Walmart, Autozone, Norauto, and others. Safemate has also recorded annual sales of over USD 50 million.


Mr Wu Zhong Hua, Chairman of Safemate Technology, said: “We will continue to strive to create products that are in line with the company's mission — to make independent travel safer.
