Jababeka is one of the most stand out industrial estate developers in Indonesia. It was founded in 1989. it is well known as the first industrial estate company which went public in Indonesia, listed on Stock Exchange of Jakarta and Surabaya in 1994. The main business of this company is to create industrial land in Indonesia based on township management services. The aim of this strategy is to develop businesses that can grow other businesses on the same zone. The company has three main interests: Infrastructure and Services; Land and Property Development; and Leisure and Hospitality. The owner, Setyono Djuandi Darmono, stated that the company will develop minimum 100 new townships as the number of industrial parks in Indonesia rising. After it succeed growing Kota Jababeka, industrial zone with townships in West Java, the company targeted an expansion on the Industrial Estate in Indonesia on the partnership with Sembcorp Group, estate developer based in Singapore, to develop Kendal Industrial Park, located 25 km from the capital city of Central Java. It becomes the largest industrial township development in Central Java. With the total development of 2,200 ha area, the strategy is creating a united zone which includes a golf course, town center, shopping district, marina city, food city, fashion hub, furniture hub, high-rise residential developments, luxurious bungalows, and industrial clusters. It is an ambitious yet doable project because the national government supports so by issuing Presidential Decree which designated Kendal Industrial Park as New Special Economic Zone. As a new industrial land in Indonesia, Kendal Industrial Park holds a big dream from the developers to be the best industrial park in Indonesia which can accelerate the development of macro and micro infrastructure in the nation. Furthermore, with the concept of one united zone, Kendal Industrial Park will be developed for self-sustaining economic system which is not only beneficial for big industries, but also small enterprises. Later, it is a big dream for Jababeka to push Kendal Industrial Park to boost the economic in Central Java and create thousands job market for the people living nearby the area. This big dream is then supported by President Indonesia Joko Widodo by upgrading the airport, connecting the double double track railways, installing natural gas from Cirebon, West Java, to Semarang, and finally improve the license and permits service for Kendal Industrial Park.
