On 10 March 2022, Singapore Ambassador Anil Kumar Nayar met Kendal Regent Bapak Dico Ganinduto in Kendal Regency, Central Java.
During their meeting, Ambassador Anil and Bapak Dico discussed developments in Kendal Regency and the good progress at the Kendal Industrial Park, a joint venture between Singapore’s Sembcorp and Indonesia’s PT Jababeka.
The Kendal Industrial Park was officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and President Joko Widodo in November 2016, and has since attracted over 70 tenants and more than USD 1.6 billion in investments as of January 2022.
Ambassador Anil and Bapak Dico also visited the Kendal Industrial Park, where they met tenants, PT Eclat Textile Indonesia, a sportswear producer, and PT Kendal Eco Furindo, a furniture maker.
The Singapore Embassy looks forward to working closely with Bapak Dico and the Kendal regency government to strengthen the close cooperation between Singapore and Kendal. We are confident that there are even better years ahead for the Kendal Industrial Park!
