Official Launch of Kendal Industrial Park
- Kendal Industrial Park (KIP) was officially inaugurated.
- Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong attended the opening ceremony alongside Indonesian leaders.
- The project was introduced as a strategic collaboration benefiting both Indonesia and Singapore.
- The launch marked the beginning of a long-term industrial development partnership between the two countries.
2016
Building Future Industrial Talent
- Kendal Furniture Polytechnic was established.
- The institution provides fully funded scholarships supported by Indonesia's Ministry of Industry.
- The program was created to prepare skilled manpower for the furniture manufacturing industry across Central Java.
2017
Strengthening Government Collaboration
- During the development of Kendal Industrial Park, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong met President Joko Widodo.
- The discussion encouraged financial incentives to support industrial investment.
- Tax holiday policies became one of the key initiatives proposed to accelerate investment growth.
2018
Officially Designated as a Special Economic Zone
- Kendal Industrial Park was officially designated as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
- The designation was established under Government Regulation (PP) No. 85 of 2019.
- This milestone strengthened Kendal SEZ's competitiveness through enhanced investment incentives.
2019
Laying the Foundation for Future Growth
- PMK No. 237/2020 regarding fiscal incentives for SEZs was officially released.
- Four companies commenced groundbreaking activities despite global economic challenges.
