Kendal SEZ signed a cooperation agreement with the Semarang Immigration Office to establish the Immigration Residence Permit Service Unit (ULTIMA I’M SEZ). This initiative aims to strengthen support for ease of doing business and investment. The ULTIMA I’M SEZ service is designed to provide business entities in Kendal SEZ with easier access to immigration services, particularly for processing residence permits.
As a developer, Kendal Industrial Park continues to support the creation of a conducive, efficient, and globally competitive investment ecosystem. As Kendal Special Economic Zone grows and the number of domestic and foreign investors increases, easily accessible immigration services are becoming increasingly important, particularly for companies that employ foreign workers.
Easy processing of residence permits is not only a matter of administrative convenience, but also part of an effort to provide business entities with certainty and convenience when carrying out their investment activities. The establishment of ULTIMA I’M SEZ is expected to make immigration services more accessible to business oentities in the industrial area, allowing for easier, quicker, more transparent, and more efficient document processing.

Juliani Kusumaningrum, Executive Director of Kendal Industrial Park, said that the availability of this service is an important step in strengthening support for investment activities in Kendal SEZ. According to her, synergy between developer, government institutions, and business entities is necessary to build an investment environment that is increasingly responsive to companies’ needs. “The availability of this service will directly benefit business operators by enabling them to process immigration documents more quickly, transparently, and efficiently,” she said.
While these services are convenient, it is important to comply with applicable regulations. Business entities and contractors in Kendal SEZ should take advantage of available immigration services while complying with all legal requirements. ULTIMA I’M SEZ is expected to strengthen the service ecosystem in Kendal SEZ by supporting companies that employ foreign workers. Having services located closer to their business operations will give business operators more convenient access to residence permit services.
The collaboration between the Central Java Regional Office of Directorate General of Immigration, Semarang Immigration Office, Kendal SEZ Administrator, and Kendal Industrial Park is expected to continue to grow in providing services that are responsive to the needs of businesses. This initiative is also expected to provide better services to businesses, while supporting the creation of a Kendal SEZ ecosystem that is investment-friendly, law-abiding, and conducive to national economic progress.
